INITIATIVES WE LOVE
Each day, through innovative partnerships, concrete initiatives and our sharing of best practices — both inside our malls and throughout their local ecosystems — we strive to live up to our commitments to sustainability and innovation. With one simple promise: to take action in the community.

Vålerenga Take Over of Oslo City for the 3rd time
The local community — especially children, young people, and Vålerenga supporters—had the chance to meet the players and soak in the atmosphere ahead of the team’s long-awaited return to the Eliteserien.
The day was filled with activities, exciting giveaways, delicious food tastings, and even the chance to play with one of Norway’s best football tricksters. Fans could also purchase official merchandise, including this season’s full match kit. The Vålerenga Takeover was further celebrated with exclusive in-store offers for season ticket holders and members, face painting for children, and, last but not least, a special visit from the beloved mascot, Tippen.
*“We greatly value our collaboration with Vålerenga Football. Together, we can make a real difference by giving fans the opportunity to meet their heroes and experience the fantastic atmosphere. We also handed out 750 free tickets for the season’s first match, and many visitors went home with Vålerenga scarves and hats,” *says Elisabeth Lohk, Center Manager at Oslo City.
Just like last year, we continued the successful initiative of collecting used and outgrown football boots for Vålerenga’s Street Team. We hope that many of these boots will find a new life on the football fields of Oslo—whether for the Gatelaget team or for children and young people in need.
Vålerenga also took the opportunity to raise awareness about PowerFootball, a football program for people with physical disabilities. PowerFootball is played using electric wheelchairs, and visitors had the chance to see one in action during the event. The Meet & Greet with the players was a huge success, drawing long lines inside the center.
