SKÅNE STADSMISSION OPENS A POP-UP STORE IN EMPORIA

It is wonderful that we have been able to offer Skåne Stadsmission a pop-up location till the end of March, or even longer. The store complements Myrorna's second-hand store and means that customers who are interested in reuse now have an even wider range of products to explore.

Emporia’s customer profile matches well with those we attract and want to reach. About half of the 7.6 million visitors are aged 25-59, many are Danes looking for a more individual sustainable clothing which they can find at Skåne Stadsmission. “Many of our customers are interested in sustainability and want to contribute to reducing climate impact. Emporia is a hub and a meeting place for many, and we have a good store location, says Christel Breum, Sales Manager at Skåne Stadsmission.

The 190-square-metre pop-up store on the third floor is a beautiful second-hand shop with a mix of clothes, decorations, accessories, and small pieces of furniture. The store also houses REMAKE, Skåne Stadsmission’s own climate-smart brand with the latest collection released in mid-October. By reusing, repairing or remaking products and materials that would otherwise be lost, the material or product is given a new lease of life.

I am delighted that we have the opportunity to open at Emporia. We already know that our concept works well in shopping centers with a strong focus on sustainability and we hope that it will work at Emporia as well, says Christel Breum.

In our sustainability work, we have a commitment to develop the retail sector, which includes extending our offering to include more sustainable consumption alternatives, raising awareness and promoting sustainable lifestyles, comments Martin Lundquist, Centre Manager at Emporia.
