ENCHANTING THE SEASON: STEEN & STRØM’S SHOPPING CENTERS SPARKLE WITH MAGICAL CHRISTMAS POP-UPS

At Steen & Strøm, it's a cherished tradition to enhance the festive atmosphere every year by introducing Christmas pop-ups alongside our permanent retail offerings. This season, we're thrilled to host approximately 25 holiday pop-up shops across our shopping centers in Scandinavia, seamlessly blending with our permanent stores and festive decorations.

These Christmas pop-ups feature a delightful array of offerings, including Italian, Spanish, and local delicacies, chocolates, and seasonal treats. Additionally, collaborations with brands like Pepsi MAX for gift wrapping at Field’s, Emporia, and Oslo City add an extra layer of holiday magic.

One highlight is the annual arrival of Illums Bolighus’ Christmas store at Emporia, showcasing an even wider range of brands and holiday products than its permanent counterpart. Kathrine Vesterholm-Manthorpe, Country Manager of Illums Bolighus Sweden, expresses:

This year we are on the second floor, the location of the store changes, but every year Emporia has managed to find a suitable location for the shop. Our Christmas popup at Emporia receives overwhelming positive feedback from customers. They love the festive ambiance, and it has become a highly anticipated tradition.

Martin Lundquist, Center Manager at Emporia, adds,

We take pride in having Illums Bolighus as a yearly addition to our retail mix. It’s a joy to spread holiday cheer together, making Emporia the exclusive location for Illums Bolighus’ Christmas store in Sweden.

Allum hosts a 130-square-meter Christmas pop-up with a focus on creating a magical holiday atmosphere. Visitors can indulge in exquisite chocolates, coffee, tea, licorice, and, according to Jultorget, the sweetest marzipan Christmas pigs. The store also offers a selection of festive items, from Christmas mugs to beautifully wrapped gift baskets. Albert Aguilar, Shopping Center Manager at Allum, expresses his delight:

Welcoming Jultorget to Allum for the first time is truly special. Their Christmas pop-up has become a tradition, enriching our diverse offerings while igniting holiday inspiration.

At Marieberg Galleria, Nordlys has opened a 180-square-meter Christmas pop-up featuring a broad range of home decor, jewelry, and accessories inspired by the Viking era. Elias Valbo from Nordlys shares,

We use pop-ups to complement our online sales, reaching a broader audience, both new and existing customers. This unique experience allows our visitors to enjoy the in-store atmosphere and our products.

Sofie Källgren, Center Manager at Marieberg Galleria adds,

Nordlys’ unique products align well with our visitors, complementing our overall offerings with a touch of exclusivity.

This festive season, Steen & Strøm centers invite you to explore these enchanting Christmas pop-ups, where magic meets retail in the most delightful way.A fantastic auction in favour of children’s and youth’s leisure and sports activities will take place at Metro before Christmas.

The “the Krogsveen Lørenskog’s Gingerbread House Auction” is preceded by the Gingerbread Village Exhibition. The money raised in the auction will be donated to the foundation Erkeengler. Erkeengler is working to ensure that more children and youths in Lørenskog and Rælingen can participate in play and leisure activities, mainly aimed at kids from families facing socio-economic challenges.

Children’s clothing store Name It at Field’s has created a Christmas pop-up to complement the permanent store in the shopping center.

We want to offer our customers the opportunity to shop for cool children’s clothes at great prices while creating space for our new clothing collection of 2024. It’s a fantastic opportunity for our customers to visit both stores and pick up some awesome clothes, says Caroline Gjedved, Store Manager at Name It.

We are thrilled to welcome Matas’ customers and the visitors of Field’s to a Matas and Sæther Christmas pop-up which complements the permanent Matas store. When there was a vacant retail space during a short period of time Matas and Sæther took the opportunity to operate the store together and spend a little extra time with the customers in Field’s.

I’m of course delighted to be able to offer this venue to Matas’ and Saether’s Christmas pop-up. I’m extremely proud of our work at Field’s and that many operators have contacted us to be present with a pop-up or a more permanent store or restaurant concept. Right now, we are completely full, which is fantastic, says Janek Gram. Center Manager at Field’s.
