Key target areas within energy, waste and water management

The courage to challenge the very foundations of our business, to reduce its footprint and improve its impact on the communities where we operate

Within energy management, Steen & Strøm is working proactively to reduce energy consumption and increase its share of renewable energy. For Marieberg Galleria the Energy Use Intensity (EUI) was reduced from 87 kWh/sqm in 2025 to 71,4 kWh/sqm in 2025. This corresponds to a reduction of 17,9% in 2025.

Within waste management, the goal is to achieve the highest possible degree of sorting. The goals are set individually for each country and shopping center, with a Material Recovery including Organic Waste proportion of 58% for Allum by end of 2026. The result for Marieberg Galleria in 2025 was 55,7%.

Within water management, the consumption at Marieberg Galleria increased and went from 31 439,1 m3 in 2024 to 32 371,8 m3 in 2025 which corresponds to an increase by 3% in 2025 compared to 2024.
