Key target areas within energy, waste and water managemen

Within energy management, Steen & Strøm is working proactively to reduce energy consumption and increase its share of renewable energy. For Emporia the Energy Use Intensity (EUI) was reduced from 65,6 kWh/sqm in 2025 to 62,1 kWh/sqm in 2025. This corresponds to a reduction of -5,34% in 2025.

Within waste management, the goal is to achieve the highest possible degree of sorting. The goals are set individually for each country and shopping center, with a Material Recovery including Organic Waste proportion of 60% for Emporia by end of 2026. The result for Emporia in 2025 was 56,4%.

Within water management, the consumption at Emporia decreased slightly and went from 44 797,3 m3 in 2024 to 44 757,1 m3 in 2025 which corresponds to a reduction by -0,1% in 2025 compared to 2024.
