Key target areas within energy, waste and water management

Within energy management, Steen & Strøm is working proactively to reduce energy consumption and increase its share of renewable energy. For Bryggen the Energy Use Intensity (EUI) was reduced from 36 kWh/sqm in 2025 to 34,5 kWh/sqm in 2025. This corresponds to a reduction of 4,17% in 2025.

Within waste management, the goal is to achieve the highest possible degree of sorting. The goals are set individually for each country and shopping center, with a Material Recovery including Organic Waste of 69,7% for Bryggen by end of 2026. The result for Bryggen in 2025 was 69,7%.

Within water management, the consumption at Bryggen decreased and went from 4 479,7 m3 in 2024 to 4 346,9 m3 in 2025 which corresponds to a decrease by 9,1% in 2025 compared to 2024.
