Metro Senter is proud to continue the partnership with the Erkeengler Foundation, supporting inclusion and opportunities for children and young people in Lørenskog.

Erkeengler works to prevent social exclusion and youth crime by helping children participate in sports, play, and meaningful leisure activities – support that makes a real difference for families facing financial challenges.

“Creating safe meeting spaces for young people in our community is incredibly important to us,” says Trygve Kolstad Gimse, Center Manager at Metro Senter.

In December 2025, visitors were able to fulfil Christmas wishes by scanning baubles on the large Christmas tree and meeting Erkeengler representatives at weekend stands offering information and family friendly activities. Through the campaign, customers and visitors helped raise around NOK 10,000 – funds that go directly towards giving local children access to activities that build confidence, community, and lifelong memories.

“The support from Metro Senter and its visitors means a great deal – it gives more young people access to activities that foster belonging and lasting friendships,” says Line Dobrowen, Administrative Manager and Head of Communications at Erkeengler.

We’re happy to share that the Christmas tree and these engagement opportunities will return this year, giving visitors another chance to contribute in a meaningful way.
