Football, community and social impact
Oslo City was proud to once again host the annual VIF Takeover together with Vålerenga, VIF Samfunn, MiniKlanen and other partners.
The event brought together visitors of all ages (footfall +22% vs same Saturday last year) through football-inspired activities, competitions, giveaways and meet-and-greets with Vålerenga players. Participating retailers and restaurants also contributed with special offers throughout the day. A key part of the event was the football boot collection drive, where visitors were encouraged to donate used football boots. The collected boots will support VIF Samfunn’s community football program and help make the sport accessible to more children and young people.
A big thank you to the Oslo City team, Oslo City’s partners, participating retailers and all visitors who contributed to making this year’s VIF Takeover such a success. We look forward to welcoming the event back next year.
