Many of Kupolen's stores participated in the spring fashion show, which was a collaboration with Dalarna's oldest dance school, Dala Dansstudio. The dance studio, like Kupolen, welcomes everyone. For Kupolen, as for all Sten & Strøm's shopping centers, it is important to have a close and strong collaboration with local stakeholders and contribute to creating a vibrant community.

Kupolen’s collaboration with Dala Dansstudio has evolved over the years from only including dance performances to also including on-site event crew. This year, twenty-two dancers aged 4-56 put on a dance and fashion show that reflected the wide dance spectrum of children’s, couples’, group, social and competitive dance. At the same time, the shops were given an opportunity to display their spring arrivals. Melinda Folmerz, Marketing Manager in Kupolen:

The dancers of different ages brought so much joy and the fashion show with spring fashion in all categories - women, men, children, accessories, but also hair and make-up - is a recurring and much appreciated event.

Music and dance typically evoke happiness in most people, and the visitors were swept away by the atmosphere during the fashion show.

It is great to be able to have this collaboration where the dance studio’s students, regardless of age, get a chance to display their skills in front of an audience while we have a resolute event staff, says Melinda.

The fashion show is a chance for Dala Dansstudio’s dancers to be seen and inspire both potential and existing dance students. At the same time, they practise dancing in front of an audience.

We think it is great fun to collaborate with Kupolen at various events. It is a good and distinct co-operation where we can use our skills and knowledge while developing together. All our employees are trained in leadership, pedagogy, and communication, which means that we always offer knowledgeable staff who are used to collaborating with people of different ages at events,“ says Jessica Kåla, owner of Dala Dansstudio.

Movement Day and a Children’s Race on 4 May

On the theme of discovering the joy of physical activity together and encouraging children to be active, a Movement Day and Children’s Race will be organized on 4 May in Kupolen.

The children’s race for all children aged 2-9 years will take place indoor in Kupolen.

We want to encourage physical exercise and for more people to discover at an early age how much fun it is to move together, Melinda concludes.
