UPGRADED STORE AT MARIEBERG GALLERIA: FROM PHONEHOUSE TO ELGIGANTEN
Marieberg Galleria is pleased to announce the refurbishment and rebranding of the former Phonehouse store, now reopening as Elgiganten.
“We are proud that Elgiganten continues to invest in and expand its presence with us. This is an initiative that strengthens the overall customer experience and enhances the mall’s total offering. When established brands choose to further develop their concepts here, it is a clear confirmation of the strength of our location and the customer flows we deliver,” says Sofie Källgren, Center Manager at Marieberg Galleria.
The transition marks a key step in Elgiganten’s strategy to unify several of its former Phonehouse locations under one strong, consolidated brand. The upgraded store is the result of a close collaboration between Elgiganten and property owner Steen & Ström, with a shared ambition to elevate the customer journey for the mall’s four million annual visitors.
The reopening at Marieberg Galleria is part of Elgiganten’s broader refurbishment strategy, where the role and experience of the physical store are being reimagined and refined. The upgraded store features a modern Scandinavian interior and an expanded assortment — all designed to make shopping easier, more seamless, and more inspiring. “We see consumer confidence in Sweden returning, and what feels particularly encouraging is that we continue to invest in our physical stores to make shopping both simpler and more inspiring. Our reopening in Örebro is a strong example of how we are evolving and building for the future of retail,” says Niclas Eriksson, CEO of Elgiganten.
In addition to phones, accessories and subscriptions, the store now offers an expanded range including electric shavers, hair trimmers, hair dryers, hair care products, electric toothbrushes, coffee makers and waffle makers.
Over the past year, several retailers have chosen to invest in and further develop their store concepts within Marieberg Galleria, including Vero Moda and Forex. Name It and McDonald’s have opened new locations, while Lekia has relaunched under new ownership.
