We’re proud to announce that the team behind Malmö favorites Casual, Casual Bakery, and Poms is now bringing their culinary expertise to Emporia with the launch of The Gem.

“We’ve chosen to establish ourselves at Emporia to become part of Sweden’s largest shopping center in a major city – and everything that comes with it,” says Peter Martinsson, founder of The Gem and Casual Streetfood.

With years of experience in the restaurant industry, Peter and his team have a strong sense of what works. Close relationships with suppliers are a cornerstone of their concept – the bread is baked in their own Malmö-based bakery, and the meat is sourced from farms across Skåne.

“When it comes to burgers, we were among the first in Sweden to kick off the trend that’s been growing since 2013. With The Gem, we’re catering both to the quality-conscious burger connoisseur and to anyone who simply enjoys a really good meal,” Peter Martinsson continues.

Enhancing the retail mix and elevating the customer journey are central to Emporia’s ongoing development.
