SUPPORTING RESPONSIBLE LOCAL INITIATIVES – PART OF THE CSR WORK

In 2023, Steen & Strøm as part of the Klépierre Group has renewed our CSR ambition with four commitments - achieving net zero, servicing communities, growing people, and promoting sustainable lifestyles. The objectives are concrete with one overriding purpose – building the most sustainable platform for commerce by 2030.

Our commitment involves expanding our offering to include more sustainable consumption options, raising awareness, supporting responsible initiatives such as the Spin of Hope in Emporia in collaboration with Team Rynkeby and the collaboration with Bamsehospitalet och Danske Hospitalklovne for the tenth time in Bruuns Galleri. 250 children came to have their teddy bears examined.

Supporting Team Rynkeby’s fundraising for Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation

Emporia once again proudly supports Team Rynkeby’s fundraising for the Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation by being a gold sponsor of the Spin of Hope event March 23. Spin of Hope is not just a spinning event, it is an opportunity to make a difference in the fight against childhood cancer. By participating in the spinning event, you are helping to bring hope and support to the children and families fighting this terrible disease.

Making a future hospital visit less dramatic for children

In Bruuns Galleri’s the event Bamsehospitalet was arranged in collaboration with Bamsehospitalet (The Teddy Bear Hospital) and Danske Hospitalsklovne (Danish Hospital Clowns).Bruuns Galleri has been collaborating with Bamsehostpital for more than 10 years. Here, all children could have teddy bears of all ages and ailments examined. The idea with the Bamsehospitalet is to give children the opportunity to meet the hospital system in a setting where the children are not sick, but through play can experience what it is like to be hospitalized. The friendly teddy bear doctors and teddy bear nurses admitted teddy bears to the hospital, took their medical records, x-rays and found out what’s wrong with the teddy bears. Maybe a little medicine was needed, or a hug. The hospital clowns did everything they could to make sure the teddy bears had a good experience at the hospital.

Supporting Danske Hospitalsklovne’s visits to childrens wards in Danish hospitals

In May Klovneløbet will be held in Bruuns Galleri and this year later in Bryggen. Klovneløbet is organized by local volunteers and the purpose is to raise money for Danske Hospitalsklovne’s work for hospitalized children and families. The registration fee for the race and the money raised goes directly to Danske Hospitalsklovne and their visits to children’s wards at hospitals in Denmark.
