NORMAL'S SCANDINAVIAN & EUROPEAN EXPANSIONS CONTINOUS TOGETHER WITH STEEN & STRØM AND KLÉPIERRE

The successful collaboration between Steen & Strøm and NORMAL has resulted in mutually favorable Scandinavian results and strong visitor numbers, which have been strong arguments for continued European launch, partly via one of Steen & Strøm's main owners Klépierre.

The Danish company NORMAL opened its first store in 2013. The Scandinavian and European expansion is now continuing, and the retail chain will be present in all Steen & Strøm’s ten Scandinavian shopping centers, as it will also open a 370 sqm. store in the Danish shopping center Bryggen in Vejle in the autumn.

The contacts with Steen & Strøm have led to an expanded collaboration that has supported NORMAL’s ongoing European expansion. Today we have a collaboration not only in Scandinavia but also with Klépierre’s shopping centers in France, Netherlands, Portugal and soon also in Spain. Our expansion has happened and is happening in parallel in Scandinavia as well as in Europe, says Christian Bjerregaard Leonhard, Expansion Director at NORMAL.

Our successful cooperation with NORMAL is a good example of Steen & Strøm’s various strengths. We can offer national establishment in shopping centers in strong locations in Sweden, Denmark, and Norway, but also a well-established network for continued European expansion by our main owner Klépierre, says Christian Brewaeys, Head of Leasing at Steen & Strøm, who welcome NORMAL to Bryggen with approx. 2,7 million visitors/year.

Sten & Strøm’s 10 Scandinavian shopping centers have a total of around 60 million visitors annually. The corresponding number of visitors for all Klépierre shopping centers is almost 1 billion annually.
