HIGH VISITOR NUMBERS AND DANISH CUSTOMERS ATTRACTS POPUP

Barney's has opened their second store in the Malmö area and according to the owner Nizar Nasar Emporia was chosen thanks to high visitor numbers and many Danish customers. Emporia has over 7 million visitors annually. Over four million people live in Emporia's catchment area, in the heart of the Öresund region.

Almost half of them are under the age of 35. Barneys has its very own concept consisting of a wide range of different Asian and Japanese products that complments the current retail mix at Emporia.

I already have a shop and have a good sense of what customers want. The target group is children and young people aged 5-15, but also adults who are interested in snacks, food and drink or perhaps want to find a gift, says Nizar Naser.

In the 97 square meter pop-up store on 3rd floor, slippers, pencils, notebooks, bags, lunch boxes, water bottles, erasers and snacks, food and beverages from Japan and the rest of Asia can be found. Barney’s will be at Emporia until the end of the year.
