We had to share By & Havn's beautiful article “Congratulations to Field's on the 20th anniversary”

On behalf of By & Havn, I would like to wish Field’s a happy birthday and thank them for the good collaborations over the years, including the extensive activities focusing on local urban life in Ørestad, says CEO, Anne Skovbro, By & Havn.

By & Havn develops new areas in Copenhagen and operates the Copenhagen harbour. Their ambition is to create healthy and cohesive urban neighbourhoods of high quality with room for communities, the good life in the city and a vibrant harbour in interaction with Copenhageners.

In all the years since Field’s opened 20 years ago, the shopping center has engaged in local activities for residents and visitors together with other players in Ørestad - e.g. Ørestad IF, Ørestad Library, leisure clubs on Amager, Metroselskabet and By & Havn. To celebrate 20 years, Field’s will create a giant mural based on residents’ thoughts on community and neighborliness. Facing Ove Arups Vej, a 600 m2 surface will be decorated by professional artists from the ‘Institute for Urban Art’ based on ideas and drawings from school and high school students and residents from Ørestad. The painting is expected to be completed during the month of June and will be the start of several art and decoration projects in Ørestad in the coming period.
