We are proud to announce that Metro is hosting a Gingerbread Village Exhibition. The exhibition ends with a fantastic auction, "the Krogsveen Lørenskog's gingerbread house auction" where the money raised will be donated to the foundation Erkeengler. Erkeengler is working to ensure that more children and youths in Lørenskog and Rælingen can participate in play and leisure activities, mainly aimed at kids from families facing socio-economic challenges.

The foundation’s initiatives in their local community contribute to increased well-being and can be considered preventive and health-promoting. Erkeengler work closely with several local sports organisations and have so far established the sports academies “Erkeengler Handball School” and “Erkeengler Skating and Hockey School”.

“We are very pleased with the premises that we have at our disposal for this year’s auction. Together with our supporters and partners, we finance membership fees for various sports and leisure activities. We also build playgrounds and sports facilities and organize various activity projects throughout the year for children and youths. The funds we receive from Krogsveen Lørenskog’s gingerbread house auction contribute to this important work. The very foundation of the “children helping children” concept really applies here, as the funds raised goes straight back to children in the neighbourhood who need support. This will be the third year that the revenues from the auction will benefit our foundation, a tradition we are very grateful for,” says Line Dobrowen, Head of Administration at the Erkeengler Foundation.

“Children’s development and opportunities for leisure and sports activities are dear both to us and Metro’s visitors. It’s wonderful that this year we can again support with exhibition space and an auction site”, says Maria Fjellheim, Marketing Manager at Metro.
