Steen & Strøm owns three shopping centers in Denmark, including Field's in Copenhagen, and is a partner in Energy Leap, which is a partnership between real estate companies and organizations in Copenhagen that work together to reduce energy consumption in each partner's properties. Energy saving has been in focus at Steen & Strøm since 2018.

Thomas Petersson, Technical CSR Manager Scandinavia, explains in an article about ‘Energy Boost’ at Steen & Strøm. Energy Boost is an annual recurring activity after closing time that begins with a review of all technical installations that are connected to the CTS system - heating, ventilation, lighting, and cooling systems - and the night after, all premises are physically reviewed to check if the registrations in the system matches reality.
