A NEARLY 90-SQM MURAL IS TAKING SHAPE IN ALLUM

Allum’s interior renovation is soon coming to an end, and it’s going to look fantastic! The mural is part of the new interior design details – and more are on the way!

Right now, a nearly 90-square-meter mural is taking shape in Allum!

Maria C. Bernhardsson, a contemporary Swedish artist based in Sävedalen near Gothenburg, is behind this vibrant and imaginative work. Known for her semi-abstract paintings inspired by architecture and urban landscapes, Maria draws from her travels and photography to create layered compositions that blend color, texture, and detail. Her art often transforms houses and natural surroundings into expressive scenes, inviting viewers to discover both familiar and surprising elements.

*“My first thought when I received the sketch assignment was that the painting should be welcoming and inviting. I wanted to create something imaginative that draws attention while feeling harmonious, with a soft form language and a balanced color palette. I hope the viewer will feel that there is something to discover – some places may be recognizable at first glance, while others reveal themselves to those who take the time to look more closely. In the painting, I chose to depict buildings and nature that I feel represent Partille, with motifs that, to me, symbolize what makes a place or city lively and enjoyable”, she says. *
