Galleria Boulevard is situated in the middle of the popular shopping town Kristianstad in northeastern Skåne and is one of Steen & Strøm’s ongoing development projects. The strategically located properties originally consisted of a department store, a cinema, outdoor parking and a former travel center. A brand new city mall with space for 70 shops, cafes and restaurants are now taking shape in central Kristianstad.
The first stage of Galleria Boulevard opened in October 2013 with a multistory car park for 1 100 cars and rooms on two levels for 17 shops including the attractive anchor tenants Stadium, Clas Ohlson, Systembolaget, Coop City, Burger King and Cinema Kosmorama. The mall has had a flying start with the number of visitors far exceeding expectations.
The second phase opened in March 2015 with 25 additional shops and the third and final phase with another 20 shops is under construction.

Right in the city center of Kristianstad, we are creating a modern, convenient urban shoppingcenter, which with its ease of access and pleasant atmosphere offers an attractive range of goods and services for residents of North-east Skåne and Western Blekinge. Galleria Boulevard will form the hub of the Kristianstad’s shopping quarter in the city center, where residents and visitors perceive the shopping center as the natural meeting place for shopping, socializing and entertainment.
The project covers a total of approx. 86,000 sq.m., and with approx. 29,100 sq.m. of retail area it will house about 70 shops on two levels. As well as retail area, the project includes around 150 homes and about 1,100 parking spaces. The investment is estimated at around SEK 1 billion. The shopping center will be built and opened in two stages. The first stage, opened in October 2013, includes a five storey car park and 9,000 sq.m. of retail area, around half of which comprises daily essentials. The number of shops in this stage sums up to 17 including a cinema. Stage two, covering around 20,000 sq.m., will open during 2015. The number of shops will then be approximately 70, including restaurants and cafées.
By creating space for shopping, socializing and leisure, we are supporting the municipality’s ambition to develop and maintain a vibrant city center.
Extension retail area from 7 300 to 28 000
The project is completed with respect to the building exterior. The 3rd stage is not completed when the market can not have been the right one. Work on completing the third phase is in progress, however, remains. The municipality’s work on the third phase current Park to the south, etc. will be completed in in 2016.
