Rituals is taking Norway by storm

Rituals has had amazing store openings in Norwegian centres before Christmas. Two of Steen & Strøm’s shopping centres, Nerstranda and Vinterbro, have the honour of holding, respectively, the best day of opening and the third best day of opening in the world.

Norwegians are going wild for the new cosmetics and wellness concept, and people are rushing out of the house to secure exciting products for themselves.

‘The launch of these two centres has exceeded all expectations and it’s become an enormous success,’ says Eduard van Santen, Managing Director of Nordics at Rituals.

Rituals currently owns 700 stores in 27 countries and was established in 2000. Its founder Raymond Cloosterman started his adventure with a mission:  ‘I passionately believe that we can transform our daily routines into more meaningful moments if we simply slow down and pay just a little bit more attention to the little things.’  This philosophy led to a unique concept that embraces spa products for home use, skin care, makeup and products for the home.

In the end of November, the concept also found its way to the northernmost part of the world; Nerstranda in Tromsø. And here the locals arranged the best day of opening in the world.

‘It’s not something you see every day in little Tromsø, so we’re extremely pleased about it,’ says centre manager Veronica Evertsen, who thinks Rituals is a trendy and urban concept that goes hand in glove with the town centre in the heart of Tromsø.
